Cynthia Salarizadeh

Cynthia Salarizadeh is the CEO of Salar Media Group, a cannabis industry focused public relations and consulting firm. With more than fifteen years of seasoned public relations and strategic communications expertise, Cynthia brings a level of professionalism, achievement, and dedication to her abilities as a trusted adviser and consultant to today’s cannabis industry. Cynthia has managed national and international campaigns that have successfully improved overall valuations and complete image enhancement for industries that range from gaming in Las Vegas, the runways of New York Fashion Week, globally renowned nonprofits and national trade organizations, to government bodies in our nation’s capital. She has worked with the United Arab Emirates, Fortune 500 brands such as Harley Davidson and Nascar, Carl Icahn’s American Casino and Entertainment Properties as well as direct experience with the Department of Defense.

Since entering the cannabis space, Cynthia has become accustomed to navigating the traditional and social media landscape for a commodity that is still federally illegal. Accounts that she has worked with in cannabis include Tikun Olam USA, BiotrackTHC, Cannabis Benchmarks, Humboldt’s Finest, ebbu, Frontera, Marijuana Investor Summit, Cannafundr, Julian Marley’s JuJu Royal, Attorney Robert Hoban, The Marijuana Show, Weed for Warriors Project and CannaMoms to name a few. Her cannabis clients have been featured in Forbes, Fortune, The New Yorker, Bloomberg, Inc., The Washington Post, Playboy, TIME, Business News Daily, High Times, Cannabis Business Times, Marijuana Venture, Vice, CBS and Fox.

Broad knowledge of, and experience in, international communications, marketing strategies, media relations, strategic planning, crisis communications, branding, operations research, analysis, and development have defined her talents in operating successful campaigns for both the private and public sectors in the U.S. and international arena. Her work product has garnered a proven track record of developing and leading some of the most recognized publicity campaigns, as well as effective improvement in reputation and image management. This skill set will now be applied to reversing the stigma in cannabis to help propel and advance the perception for better market conditions.

In addition to her distinguished communications accomplishments, Cynthia has held placements in the areas of international affairs and public policy in Washington, DC. These experiences yielded specific knowledge and proficiency in the implementation of policy objectives and public affairs programs, multinational corporation communication, stakeholder engagement, as well as international and government relations.

Salarizadeh holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a minor in Modern Middle Eastern Studies and a focus on Strategic Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a certificate in Political Journalism with the Fund for American Studies from a program at Georgetown University.
